I have been working with my foundry in the UK to find a way to cast smaller bronze sculptures with the same high quality finish of my larger works, but at a more affordable price. We have achieved this to produce The Simon Gudgeon Collection, a range of small sculptures in larger editions, which are shown here.
These are new ideas for monumental kinetic sculptures. The engineering has all be calculated and I will start building them in the near future.
These new mixed media pieces have been inspired by the lakes at Sculpture by the Lakes. They arose from a fascination with the reflections in water and became an exploration into the properties of water: how the surface reflected the surrounding landscape but how I could also see into the depths, qualities I wanted to convey in the artwork
